Nem tudo é cor-de-rosa. (“Not everything is pink.”) Statistics don’t lie — which is why we combined creativity and science to spotlight a sobering truth: At least 1 in 8 Portuguese women may develop breast cancer. As we say in Portugal, “Nem tudo é cor-de-rosa” (“Not everything is pink”), but we can work together to fill in the gaps. Using GIMMS’ graphic identity tools, we designed a circular motif to symbolize the institute’s ongoing research into breast cancer prevention. A soft pink — traditionally associated with breast cancer awareness — was introduced into the white design, striking a balance between elegance and unease.
